A Celebration to Kick-off the Holidays!

The major shopping days are not what makes the season. It's the community and the events that it puts together to bring in the holiday cheer.

For eight years, the Holiday Festival and Light Parade in Victor has been organized by the City of Victor that encompasses a plethora of activities throughout the day. This year the celebration begins with a 9am pancake breakfast with Santa, storytelling and booksale at the library, turkey bowling, children's treasure hunt, baked potato bar and a live nativity scene before the fireworks show begins at 6pm.

For those who want to sneak in a little shopping experience, the local businesses will be open and just a short drive into Teton Springs is a Holiday Art Show.

Or you can catch the matinee performance of the Christmas Carol at Pierre's Playhouse at 4pm but if you miss that, the evening performance begins at 7pm.

Yes...it is beginning to look a lot like Christmas.....

On the First Day of Christmas...

December, day number one.

Have you finished your Christmas shopping? If you're like many among us, there's still a long list to deal with before the big day.  On the other hand, enjoy the process because the holidays only come once a year, after all.

And these next few days are once again filled with exciting opportunities for us to shop and enjoy what our community has to offer.

The annual Holiday Light Parade hosted by the City of Victor will start at 6pm on Saturday culminating a daylong celebration that includes a live nativity, potato bar and turkey bowling.

Still not ready to go home after the parade? Then stop by MD Nursery for the annual Festival of Trees and enjoy a Hollywood style evening benefiting the Teton Valley Hospital.

Of course, there's also the Gifts of Joy Arts & Crafts Fair at the St. Francis of the Tetons in Alta which starts this weekend and runs every Friday, Saturday and Sunday through December 19th. So if you're looking for creative, unique gifts–stop by and check out the many creative items available.

While you're out shopping in town, remember that many businesses are participating in the TVEF Shop for Schools on Saturday and a percentage of your purchase will go towards our Teton Valley public schools.
